For the new guys
« on: July 28, 2014, 08:00:52 PM »
Whats up guys ang Gals, just curious to know how and when we as "newbies" with the group can start getting involved with the group? I'm sure this is a rediculous question, but hey just thought I would ask. Thanks, Chuck

You have to ride with us, kill somebody and hang out with Greg then if you survive Greg you're in. JK

If I understand what your asking, You have to come to a meeting, go on a trail ride and also be part of an event like one of the ocean beach cruise nights we do. We have a meeting next tuesday, if you haven't come to one yet. I hope I answered your question to your satisfaction...

Yes, the next meeting is Aug 5th. Meetings are almost always the first Tuesday of each month and they rotate between different members' homes. The next meeting is the furthest we ever go for a meeting (if you live in Groton) since it is being held at Rock's house. The person holding the meeting usually posts up a time (typically 7pm) about 4-5 days prior to the meeting.

You sure did answer my question! I will plan on going to the meeting next Tuesday and can't wait for a trail ride.
Where is the meeting by the way? Chuck

I don't know if you'd be able to make it, but my first trail run was mohawk weekend last year.... it just so happens to be next weekend....

Boy that does sound like a great time, and from the pictures I have seen from previous years looks like a blast.

Oh yeah, its pretty awesome. Nobody ever covers what we do at camp for some reason. I think this year Me and Mags are going to be doing a Wayalife style video for the entire trip.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure if I should've waited for a post with the time and place for the August meeting.

Also, Not necessarily related but not worth starting a new thread. Does JT have an instagram? If not there should totally be one made!

We typically stay away from social media (facebook, instagram) we (JT4X4) do not, nor do we intend on having a FB page. Takes away from our forum. We do post on our personal pages sometimes. There are videos on youtube though. This was brought up once I think..... Rock, Roger back me up on this...
Ayway welcome and hope to meet you at the next meeting.

I do remember this being brought up at a meeting and the majority of us felt the same way as you did about this.  By the way Chuck. Looking forward to meeting you and your rig in action off Road. Always good times on the trails
