Mr Rock:
like Kirk, I also changed to the 1330 ujoints after breaking the 1310 adapter so be prepared.

Like Roger said start prepping the axle now and when the weather breakes you'll be ahead of the game.

as for the brakes, if they are decent I would run them, they are easy to change out later and you can focus your money on needed things.

pick up the Lube Locker gaskets, they are worth it, I have opened my diff's too many times to count and the gaskets are still good!

don't bother with POR15 on the axles they will never rot out! a good rattle can paint job is easier to touch up as well!

calvynandhobbs:
I'm going with the 1330 8.8 adapter flange right off the bat with mine.

JSchwinn:
I just purchased the lube locker gaskets.  Yea i'll probably just rattlecan the axle, the dana 30 looks like it has a rubber undercoating on it so I'll probably just leave that one alone for now.  When you guys did the swap did you do any additional upgrades (i.e steering)

Mr Rock:
The stock JY steering is pretty strong, unlike the TJ or XJ steering which are notorious weak. If you are leaving it spring under than you should be good. if you where going to go spring over, then there is a lot that needs to be done!

When I when through my axle I added axle tube seals, chromoly shafts, blank off plate on the axle disconnect, new internal seals and new ball joints. the brake were decent and they are a wear item so I left them along and waited to replace the pads when they got low. I also left the unit bearings alone and waited for them to fail before changing them out. I have bigger tires so I wear them out faster, I would say I get about a year and a half out of one.

skibum:
Or 500 miles. Witch ever comes first LOL
