Nope mustangs are 28 spline (eeeeek no good) It was in a 4x2 1985 f150

I was thinking Mustang due to the racing clutches. Now that we know what it came out of I think I know what it's going into.  ;D

You would be correct in assuming that lol. On thursday during lunch I was on my way back to work and I noticed my abs light flashing and my speedo was bouncing around like crazy, which I just figured the speed sensor was failing.... Nope I was wrong about a half mile from the shop, I left a stop sign and when I let the clutch out in 2nd and I heard probably the most unpleasant sound you can here from a vehicle (other than a rod knock). The passenger side carrier bearing race had actually been pushed a 1/4" out and the carrier was just moving around as it pleased in the housing. I never heard any noise from it because the boggers are so loud going down the road. But anyway the truck it came out of (which I wish a saw) was probably a project truck for drag racing I see a built 302 or 351 with a c6 behind it thinking about the gears and LSD thats in this axle.

I did the tie rod flip when I did mine.  It was a little scary drilling through the knuckle and finding the right drill bit wasn't easy....but the end result is worth it.  Tie rod sits ~3" higher (doesn't hit rocks as often) and better steering geometry (less bump steer).

I did this as well! I also did a steering pump mod to increase flow (I did not increase pressure) and added a cooler, power steering works much better!

I changed over to the 2001 XJ power steering pump when I did the intake manifold swap and added a power steering cooler from a late 90's ZJ.  I also added a brake booster from a 2004 TJ and the braking became much better as well.
