Since R.J.'s fender flair post is up to page 143 or something like that, I decided to start a new one with my YJ fender flair trimming. After denting the rear wheel well after stuffing my 35 's into it like this:
I gained 1.5 inches from the back half of the rear wheel opening. I trimmed about 1 1/4 of metal off and then used a pair of channel locks and a hammer to bend a 1/2" lip like the factory did. I then cut the inner rubber fender well and used a heat gun to mold it back into the newly formed lip I made. I Drilled two new holes in the flair and the body since the old holes were cut out. A little spray on truck bed liner and you can't even see all my hard work.
I thought the 1" body lift would keep the tires from rubbing, but I was wrong, hopefully this works.
