i miss having a bike..

my 1st street bike was a 1979 kz650.  i had that sucker for 5 years.  i sold it 2 years ago when i bought my harley.  now since i sold the harley to buy the house, i decided to get another bike. the kid i sold the kawi to wants to get something newer and offered it back to me. So, like i don't have enough crap to do, my wife will be home in 45 min then i'm off to bristol to get my "new" motorcycle.  I think this time i'll finish the work to it.  i still have the gpz jugs, and the cams, i'll get the carbs and the exhaust to finish the conversion later this summer.  maybe i'll get the 810 kit also.

The older bikes are so much easier to work on.  Have fun .

About 9 years ago, I was given a 1973  H1F 500 triple. Guy said he couldn't get it to run because it needed a throttle cable so I found one and in 45 minutes, it kicked right over. I have ridden bikes for years but that bike scared me! If you weren't ready for the powerband to hit you better be hanging on because the front wheel would immediately come off the ground.... I sold it in as-is condition, needing the gas tank blown out to remove a dent, the right side of the case had some type of repair to it, and it needed tires, for $1000. I'm kicking myself in the ass now....I miss that thing...
