alright here is some pics of the rear ones. we also did the back part of the quarter panel black since their was no paint under the clips for the rear end caps.

didn't do the front yet. gonna try to get rubicon front flares for it. then i'lll run the 31's and maybe 33's with my 3.5 inch when i get it.

just lock it front and rear and leave the stock suspension.  with 32's you won't have much flex, but it'll go through just about anything.

When ever your ready, I know what I'm doing for next time .  The hardest part is trying to get a flat flair to match up to the curves of the XJ.  XJ's look flat until you put a flat flair up to it.  A lot of time with the Dremel, just kept taking a little at a time until I got it as close as possible.  When we got done I hit some of the spots with the heat gun to smooth it out and put a little bend to it. 

He gianed 1 1/4" all the way around.  He could run 31's with no lift, if bigger bump stops were put on.

Just use the trim and bumper paint stuff like I did on my bumper and trim and they should look fine.  As long as they are not cracked I vote to save your $$$ and but the used ones.  They are going to get scratched when you take them off road any way.

I have a write up saved to my computer somewhere to do the fender trim, but to retain the stock flairs all the way around. That's what I'm thinking about doing. I kind of like the color matched flairs on my XJ.

The older XJ's have more room then the 97+ before cuttting.  Roger if you cut yours you could move up to 35's .

That is the plan, but I'd have to regear to do 35s. Mine is bad enough with 33s.
