Need Junk Yard Parts?
« on: April 07, 2009, 04:14:20 PM »
I am headed back home to MD for Easter and I plan on hitting the pick and pull.  Last time I was there they had several XJ's and ZJ's and one almost stripped CJ7.  I am planning on trying to find a spare set of axle shafts, a 99+ intake manifold and a 99+ power steering pump.  If anyone needs something such as an air conditioning compressor for an OBA, spare axles shafts w or w/o unit bearings etc... let me know and I'll see what they have.  I am not planning on taking my trailer for large items like axles and stuff, but smaller items that fit in the Liberty ( or maybe the H3 ;D) I can get.  If you let me know specifically what you want I can try to give you a better idea of a price but here is an example of what I am thinking:

Dana 30 axle shafts w/o unit bearings $80
Dana 30 axle shafts w/ unit bearings $110
99+ intake manifold $60
Power steering pump 96+ $35
A/C compressor $50
1992 YJ Sahara, 4.5 Rubicon Express ED Lift, 35" BFG MT, Custom Bumpers, SYE/CV Drive Shaft, OBA, Ford 8.8 rear, 4.10 gears, tie rod flip, 1"MML/BL
2002 KJ Liberty, 2" Lift, 31" tires/DD
2002 F-150 Harley Davidson 5.4L SC
2013 Explorer Sport
2006 Harley Road King Classic
1988 Honda Hawk GT

seen them.  no good spot to mount one (and they would clash w/ my decor LOL).  I would wire the switches for the two rear windows to require both activated in the same direction to cause the winch to operate (and maybe put a isolation switch somewhere).

TJ777 sorry no power steering pumps for a 2000 TJ.  They didn't even have a 2000 or newer XJ that I could try and see if it would work.

Jeremy also sorry no Tacoma's at all.  They only had one toyota and it was a mid 90's 4 runner.

I wish I would have had my trailer, they have an 88 waggoner with Dana 44's.  They had a handful of XJ's, half of which were 2wd, and about half a dozen ZJ's and most were the V8's.  They also 3 CJ7, one had a full roll cage which looked like it was in good shape, but I couldn't tell.  It also had 2 good 33x12.50/15 BFG MT that would have made good spares.

I picked up an intake manifold from a 99XJ ( only one they had) and the power steering pump that bolted up.  I also pulled the axle shafts out of a 98 XJ.  The passenger side shaft has a newer U-joint and they will make good spares.  I only paid $77 for all my stuff, but it took about 3 1/2 hours.  A lot of that time was just looking around and 20 minutes was waiting for the fork lift to lift the 98 XJ so I could pull the shafts.  I also managed to cut the plug for the 4wd switch from a 96 XJ.
