16 hours of driving isn't worth $100?

progess from today on my new cage
-
custom cage?
-
Why not solid B Pilar hoop? Maybe its a personal preferance, but I have always liked the solid B hoop designs over the front to back design.
Way I see it, if you were going to take a hard roll it is more common to happen as a barrel roll vice end over.
-
custom cage?
no it is a stock one only available in gheto fabbed throughly abused trail rigs

two reasons
one i run alot of tight trails and have actually gotten hung up on my stock cage
and two not the best reason looks
and i am adding a lot more triangulation so all the forces on a barrel roll will be pushed to the opposit frame rail/corner of the cage according to the force diagrams no matter where the main impact is

well i seen my cage last night and it looks sick i will post pics when i get it back this weekend

I'm like that you tied your seat mounts into the cage. Cage looks really nice.

the last wheeling trip i went on the jeep is working almost perfectly i need to fix some axle wrap on the front end and get a new yoke for the tcase as i am now am have ripped a set of 1350 straps right off the bolts and i did not explode an axle shaft

Glad everything's working the way you want, it is a long way from the monster bumper! lol

i got stuck cause of that bumper about 10 times to many the current bumper will bw getting cut down because when i modify the axle shafts, steering knuckles, install a 9" steering ram and waggy pitman arm for the 50 degree steering i will be into the bumper with the tires and i got to clearance the body for 42's yet

Looking good Little Adam!

Well time for a yearly bump of this thread
I started the year off finishing the front 4 link full hydro swap and I did not do much wheeling this year just alot of building of rigs I picked up a bunch of tools a lathe, tube bender, notcher and plasma cutter. In may I got laid off from my job making tractor wheels and started looking for jobs all over the country I had a 5 day fiasco (most of which was on a train) of a interview in Nevada for the railroad and after a few more months of looking and 3 other cross country trips I started working for 4 wheel parts in Memphis Tennessee as a tech I make a decent money but the discount is worth the pay cut so I build some awesome mall crawlers and will be doing a few custom builds in the next few months. I got a tj that is getting a cage and full suspension rework and my boss is going to have me build a flat fender bodied buggy and I am going start building a cj6 looking race rig/ bouncer for myself on 42's with a 500+hp lq4, with a th400, a 4 speed atlas, on custom built 9" axles. After the buggy is complete my old bastardized yj will be up for sale since I won't need 2 wheeling only rigs.
but I did decide to start over with and got a new dd of another 92 yj it is getting the dd treatment of 8.8 dana 30 with a 4.10's And 33's and out boarded shocks and maybe a coil conversion the usual stuff
Now some random pics
this is a yj I built for my uncle (http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/uu131/gearhead1985/Mobile%20Uploads/20150929_185331_zpsbhectbbg.jpg) (http://s641.photobucket.com/user/gearhead1985/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150929_185331_zpsbhectbbg.jpg.html)

Looks good Little Adam. Glad to hear you landed a job you like, and Beele Street in Memphis is not a bad place to hang out.
