Looking for a CJ7.  Don't want to start from scratch but don't want to start from scratch.

Yes this one will be for me.  I looked at aafish's jeep but it just isn't what I'm looking for.  I know there are lots of CJs in jonfund.  Maybe someone over there will decide to sell.

LOL.....he scares me sometimes to.  You can use my jeep anytime you want  ;D  I will make sure I have a nice strong skid plate for teetering  ;)

There's one down the street from me (Coventry RI) the body's a bit rough, but the mechanicals seem intact - think it's on a 3" lift with 32" tires. I'll try to find out what they're asking - they had it for 3k originally, but it's got "best offer" on the windshield now.

Awesome! Good luck! Sounded like it had all the trouble areas addressed already. Less headache for you. I wouldn't go with the motor he intended on though. Just go straight to a Chevy 350 and call it good. Advanced Adapters has all the adapters you could need to do it.
