Ocean Beach Cruise Nights
« on: May 21, 2008, 03:37:07 PM »
Starting this Monday, Memorial day!

Classic Car Cruise Night
6 p.m.
Ocean Beach Park, New London
sponsored by KOOL 101; free; BCGOBP@aol.com

If you're free Monday night, bring you're Jeep or Truck down to the Ocean Beach boardwalk and represent the 4X4 community, or just walk around and check out the HOT Classic Cars!  If you've never been to Ocean Beach, it's a great spot to bring the whole family.  There's a large boardwalk, icecream stand, restraunt, pub, and carnaval rides for the kids.  That, and sandy beaches!

See you there!

Is this something we would do after we did the Vets parade in Mass?

Sure, if you want.  This isn't a JT4X4 event.  It's just something they do at Ocean Beach starting on Memorial Day, and ending on Labor Day in September.  I don't remember if it's every Monday, or not.  I'm going because I always go.  It's a good time.  That, and we've talked about holding one of our cruise nights there during the event.

I think it is every Monday. The girls and I are kind beach bunnies in the summer, and we always walk the promanade in the evenings. It's pretty cool...

The cruise night is a good time! It's every monday night. I went every monday that I wasn't underway/duty stricken. There's some hot cars down there, anything from a Yenko to a AC Cobra!

It was awesome, though a tat cool towards the end.  for June or July, we should have a 2nd cruise night at the car show: stack our vehicles on each others tires (axles idea - good one!).  we can had out cards, durm up support for our club/casue, and show up the pretty trucks (there were a couple of lifted 4x4s that have never seen a dirt road).
