What carb is on it? If it is the motorcraft 2100/2150 it is Wicked easy. The rebuild kits are readily available and instructions can be found online, YouTube or print them out and follow along. That is the V8 correct?

Yes it s the AMC 360 and I believe that's what it has for a carb but ill have to check. L'll look into the kit I was looking to take the lazy way out and pay someone to do it because ive never messed with a carb before.... guess now is as good a time as ever.

Also, I need to get 2 straight 2.5" exhaust pipes bent about 5 degrees, anyone know a place I can get it done cheap?

Help...... this past weekend I replaced the intake/carb with an edelbrock.  The engine fired right up and there seemed to be no issues even when it got up to temp.  When I went to take it for a ride about 5 minutes in the oil pressure drops down slowly to 0.  There doesn't seem to be any noticeable changes in noise.  I replaced the sending unit along with a full oil change with rotella 15w40.  It almost seems like the oil isn't getting back into the pan.   When I got home I turned the engine off waited 15 minutes and turned it back on and had 40psi.  I really have no clue where to go from here and could you any advice you can give.

The Engine is an AMC 360 stock other than the edelbrock upgrades.  Also eliminated all the emissions crap so I only have vacuum to brake booster/PCV/Dizzy

Sounds like the 258 straight 6 issue...

Alright so got home today and ran the truck at idle for 40 mins with constant oil pressure. I the got in and revved very lightly and watched the pressure drop and then slowly climb back up. I then did a little higher idle and the pressure slowly dropped to 0. I shut the engine off and pulled the dipstick and the oil level showed almost empty. So the oil isn't getting back to the pan quick enough when at higher than idle rpms. What can cause this...

Nite: I have 5-6 quarts of oil in the truck and half a canister or sea foam

most likely the motor is full of sludge, take off a valve cover to verify, if the oil galleys are plugged you really need to get it clean before running it much more, there could be critical areas not getting oil! I would drop the oil pan and clean it out as well, you will be able to see how much is on the crank and connecting rods, get it cleaned as best you can as any sludge in there could plug the pick up screen. after that change your oil often a few times.

When it's running before the oil pressure goes away, does it smell like it running rich? Did you ever check the timing and possibly over compinstate with carb tuning?

Valve covers were spotless but I'll pull them again just to verify.  When I did the intake I cleared all the sludge.  I'll pull the pan and see how that looks. I also ran sea foam through the engine at idel for 45 mins yesterday then drained the oil, it was dirty but nothing major came out.   

I haven't checked the timing and to be honest this is the 1st time I've messed with a carb so I could be tuning it wrong.  I just messed with the 2 screws till it sounded right.....

Check your oil dipstick and see if the oil smells like gas. Could be getting washed out because the carb is running to rich.

well at idle there is no issue, and above idle the set screws don't affect the flow so I don't think that is the issue.  the oil definitely didn't smell like gas when I drained it yesterday.  I was dirty after 45 min in the engine but nothing abnormal, there was no evidence of metal
