Painter for my Parts (aka get this heep done)
« on: January 29, 2013, 05:11:37 AM »
I'm looking for anyone that can paint or knows of someone who paints cars in their spare time.  Not looking for a show car finish by any means.  Just looking to be able to drop the front fenders, quarters, sliders, tire carrier, and maybe a cage off in bare metal and pick it up in a semi-gloss black finish.

Was originally going to use semi gloss black rustoleum paint that is around $30-$40 a gallon and would supply the paint.  Looking to get it all sprayed in primer, then paint.  I'd like to still use the rustoleum because it'd be easy to match touch ups when I beat it up (which I will if it ever gets done).

Idea here is I'll pay to have one less thing I have to worry about and to get me one step closer to being complete with my Jeep.

Let me know.  My phone number is on the member side, but I can't have my phone at work so emails or PM's here would probably be easiest.

No one?  Not looking for a pro job.  Just someone with a spray gun, compressor, and time essentially.

I'm ok with a rattle can, but I think my Jeep is going to get a roll-on paint job. I've done a couple of those and they've turned out pretty good.

Roll on has always been the plan.  Just space and time is what I'm thinking about here.  Basically, it'll get me back on the trail faster.

If not, rollers are gonna be hot haha.

I've got the guns and the compressor.  If you have the space and time you can borrow them.  I painted my motorcycle a couple years back, gave me a great appriciation for the work that goes into a job.
