Meriden Rock Crawl
« on: August 20, 2012, 04:15:54 PM »
Well our rock crawl was an awesome success! Tons of people showed up and it was a great day. Lots of carnage, broken parts were everywhere. The end result was a first place win in the modified class by Paul Kalish from Eastern Fourwheelers. This caused a one to one shootout between him and Clayton Walters for a grand finale. Clayton went all out pounding his buggie over the rocks at about 50 mph which resulted in a broken front Dana 60 and a blown BFG Crawler. Paul then showed him up by pounding his YJ over the rock almost just as fast, then doing the entire course in REVERSE! Hats off to Eastern fourwheelers and Paul Kalish. Good job. By new buggie did great and turned a 3:00 time on the course so I was happy. Going to post up some more pics and vids when I get them together but here is a few for now.

Clayton was unreal, he made this look so easy. Most of the modified class didn't even finish the course in the 10 minute time limit. The rocks start small, and get progressively larger until the end part where they were huge. Click image to view video.
