Picture as Promised...
« on: January 05, 2012, 03:48:11 PM »
The YJ is all finished and Santa left me a new set of 33s under the tree this year!  ;D  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I'm looking forward to the January Trail Ride.

Looks really good.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the more agressive 33's.

I scored them on Craigslist and got a great deal.  Still trying to figure out a good pressure to run on the street.  Any suggestions?

When I ran my 33x12.5x15s on a 15x8 rim I found that 28 pounds was a good starting point to ensure tread contact all the way across, but it is really going to depend on the tire. Some have stiffer sidewalls than others.

I run at 30 PSI but it was a bunch of trial error,Did the chaulk al the tread thing. And seat of the pants feel, how it felt to drive down the road. There are many factors to determine your proper air presure. At least these will give you a starting point.

It looks even better in person.  He stopped by today and I got to check it out.  Fe failed to mention in this thread that the new 33's are Goodyear MT/R-K's and the great deal he got on them.
