35x12.5R17
« on: November 03, 2011, 02:21:27 AM »
My neighbor has brought it to my attention that he has a set of 4 35x12.5R17 tires on Hummer rims (8 bolt). I am not exactly sure what the bolt pattern is. He was hoping to get $900 for them and the tires are brand new. have never been used. I think he said they are MT/R's. if anybody is interested, I can call him for further details.

8 Bolt Hummer wheels only come in a 16.5" size and MT/R's are not produced for a 16.5" wheel.

I am betting they are 17" H2 wheels which are a 8x6.5" pattern with a 5.625" backspacing aluminum wheel without beadlocks.

I do know this, they are either not MT/R's or they are not 8 Bolt H1 Wheels.

Edit:  I just realized maybe you were saying 8 bolt in reference to the lug pattern vice referencing an 8 bolt H1 double beadlock.  If so, the specs on the wheels are what I listed above.  Something to keep in mind if that is what they are and someone is interested, if you want to run H2 wheels on 1 ton axles you have to have the center of the wheel broached out to fit over the hubs.

To correct Gary, the tires are BFG MTs (he didnt specify km or km2) with like 10 miles the guy said.  He also said they are 8 bolt hummer style(not sure what that means exactly..) rims.  Hope this helps.  Even if you can't use the rims, take the tires, sell the rims!!

These are the old style tires, even if you need hummer rims they are priced a little too high for me. They are still a good tire, but if they have 10 miles then I would think they have been sitting a while and I've been told that when they changed to the KM2 style , dealers were letting these go for $150 a tire.

Just my two cents,

FYI, if anyone does get these I have access to a tire machine and can swap them over for a six pack of bud, its what my buddy likes!

The wheels are probably worth around $200 to $300 depending on the condition.  That is a rough average of what I've seen them for on pirate4x4.

for stock h1s that is right if they are recenterd and run true they are more like $125 per wheel
