after seeing how much more useful a 60" is over a 48" the other weekend, and the fact i've got room in the bed for one, it would have been hard to settle on a 48"

How about $28.96 from Tractor Supply Company

http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay_10551_10001_28124_-1______?rFlag=true&cFlag=1

and you can run right up to Jewett City and pick one up.

That's where I got the one I keep on the tracker.

yeah, for most of our rigs, 48" isn't useful for much more than changing a tire on level ground.  :)

unfortunately, neither of mine have room to carry a 60"

48" genuine high lift cost me $35 from the TSC back home, methinks the off road supply places rip us off.

May not be the cheapest, but you know what youre getting.  Also, the rebuild kit is listed further down.  Dont think the rebuild kit is size specific, only replaces pins for moving parts which are the same.
