What guage wire and what size fuze did you use?  Mine comes with an on/off switch and a pressure switch. Do you know how many amps your compressor draws?  How come you didn't wire it through a relay?

I used Stainless steel braided hose that I picked up from Jegs.  I bought the hose and the conections and then borrowed the aluminum tools from Rocket.

it draws 27 amps, i used 12 gauge wire, and a 40 amp fuse it what came with it. I didn't wire it through a relay yet, but i will. Just wanted to get the thing set up.
