Check your Crank Postion Sensor, fairly common problem on the 4.0L motors.  Coils don't go bad often, more likely a bad rotor.  Any codes?

He called me while I was at my basketball game so I talked to him around 7:15 or so. He was still baffled, but I reminded him that Paul is very close to where he is and he had Paul's number. As long as Paul is available he's probably on the side of the road with Adam right now.

Did you cook anything on the floorboard during your drive?  ;D At least you figured out what is causing the stalling and are able to fix it.
