« on: October 16, 2009, 12:40:11 AM »
I talked to my guy who is a wilson antenna dealer he gets them factory direct and he told me today that he would tune our cb's for $25 each and i would like a head count or list of people interested in this so i could let him know  and arrangements can be made

About $20 bucks for a meter... and this link.

http://roadtripamerica.com/Equipment/How-to-Tune-a-C-B-Radio-Antenna.htm

I have a meter and still have a hard time tuning my cb. I've had them come close, but have never been able to get one to read less than 2.0 at both channel 1 and channel 40, ensuring I have a good tune across all bands. I had a guy at a truck stop in Michigan tune my cb on my CJ a few years ago and it made a world of difference. It could also be that he set me up like a trucker and amplified the standard 4 watts to almost 20.

i'll go w/ a amped version; i hear its just an adjustment inside of the case, though 4 watts is the max legal
