shackle question
« on: October 13, 2009, 03:25:09 AM »
flex's post on wanting shackles has raised a question into my head.  what would happen if you bolted 2 shackles together?  in theroy it would act like an old school z-box.  it really has me wanting to try it.  it could actually allow a lot of additional droop.  i think if anything the xj rears would work the best.  who wants to be the guinea pig?

I don't have shackles anymore so I can't volunteer. It may work for a little while, but I think you'll end up twisting them eventually.

You would have to make some kind of stop so they wouldn't just fold onto one another.  Even the Revolver shackles are thought to be crap by many, and they are "engineered".
