Wheel the at's, then wheel mt's.  you'll change your tune VERY quickly!

Heres my opinion:

For a DD, the AT's can be beat.  Long Tread Life.

For a Trail Rig/ Toy, the MT's are the way to go.

boggers belong on everything!!  when i have the $ i'm putting swampers on my dd jimmy.  i like road noise.  i believe that for a dd it has to be a radial.  for the trail toy, bias only, they flex better.

Bias ply are great for a trailer rig, but a little scarry on the road.  I like the AT's for a DD since they last so long.  Swampers are a lot of $$$ to have them melt off on the street.  IMO you would be better off getting a second set of rims and tires and swap your swampers on before you head out for the trail, or swap them out at the trail like Rocket.

i'm actually happy with the firestones i just got.  they have 9000 miles on them already and have about 80% tread left, for the light action this is going to see, they'll work just fine.  the terrain i was in today was wet sandy silt type dirt roads, and i actually got some wheel hop when i tried to spin them in 2wd.  but ya bias tires suck on the street, but in the rocks, the sidewalls flex like crazy and they are superb.  but hey i like the thumpity thump thump as the tires round back out in the morning.  lol..  if i switch to the new position at work, i'll be commuting to my desk every day, so then the swampers will be justified  8) 8)

Well I wheeled the 31 MTs and liked em', but the ATs didn't seem to stop Roger. So we'll see next time I get out. Oh and I just "Borrowed"a jig saw from work lol, heres the results. Scratched the paint up a bit but whatever.

And heres a stock picture, just for giggles

I think it looked better stock.  Roger also had a welded rear diff.  at's are ok, but the mt's are really the way to go for wheeling.  but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

ATs work great in everything except for deep mud. They are better than MTs when it comes to beach sand because they don't dig a hole. The wheeling I have done out here has had very little mud and the ATs did well in the rocks.

Roger- I have a line on a 35x12.50 BFT AT for a spare for my Jeep.  If I end up getting it, I'll have the matching 33x12.50 BFG MT for you.  I'll let you know if it all works out, and this way we can get you all set up.

Andy- looks good.  The scratches make it look like youv'e taken it through more then a parking lot. JK.
