So we wanted to take our time and make the whole schebang look nice and professional.  We pulled the front seats to remove the molding easier, found french fries and all kinds of crap under there.  So like a big girl doug went to town with the vacum to clean it all out.

Jeep uses a body plug where the clutch linkage would go through if this was a stick, so the plug made a great place to run the power cable.

I donated some wire clamps for R.J. to help keep everything tidy and to make it look preofesional.

All in All for a few hours and a couple of drinks later, it came out pretty well.

We did learn something weird about fuses though.  For some reason the amp went into protection mode when we 1st turned it on.  Some electrical diag later, and we found out that it was a bad main fuse.  Weird.  It looked ok, we changed the fuse and the someofabitch  worked perfect!!

I am just running a single 10, and a smaller amp.  There was plenty of room for my amp, but I doubt that big amp in R.J.s jeep would fit under there let alone allow for air flow.  There is nothing under the body where the rear seat is, and I have seen a few set ups where guys have used a hammer to "make" a little more room for a bigger amp.

I would like to find a pickup style box for my sub so it takes up less room.  It won't sound as good, but it will give me a lot more room in the back.

we were toying with the idea of putting it under the seat, but your right it wouldn't get enough air flow.  the amp would overheat way too easily there.

yeah, we remounted the amp over about 3" and now the amp actually hods the subbox in place so it all lines up really nice. i was going to run 1 10" but hey, for $75 bucks i couldn't pass up 2 10's and a 600w amp.

I'm only running 1 10" speaker with a 200W amp, so mine is much smaller.

you can never have too much music.  i don't think i've ever run an amp under 500w.
