i like the cvs still but it's not old. yet.

it's wierd, i survived vanes almost the whole till i had one hop. and that was it. but then on thursday, i had the wheel cranked and locked the drive train on a branch. sun night, front psngr tire was in a hole and pulled it enough that it pretty much dis-located. so i am not too bent about it. plus, this being the third time, it's getting really quick changing them out.

lifetime waranty, but I'm guessing that they won't tolerate his "abuse" too much longer.  :)

As long as it's not a Limited lifetime warranty, it shouldn't be an issue.  Look on the bright side, Hot-Rod, you're cv part was what?  $160 with the lifetime warranty?  You know what my warranty is?  A NEW F'ING AXLE!   >:(

I'd rather replace cv's... :'(

generally the warranty says stuff about not covered for abuse, and they usually say stuff about racing, off-road, etc.

I'm sure you'll be fine for a few, especially if you know somebody there, but sooner or later, their upstream supplier is going to start telling them that they won't take them back anymore, because it's not possible to be breaking so many so quickly without abuse.

I talked to the guy at advanced and he said to me that after the first breakage, the second is warrenteed for 90 days.  He also said not to say you broke it wheeling, say something like you broke it driving in snow.  Abuse is not covered, but they don't care as long as they have plausible deniability.

Good thing for Jon and I: 79.95 each, minus 10% military discount, and they are not side-specific.  I can use the same on on either side :D
