haha i leave for 2 days and the fur n feathers fly. but is it legal to drive without a hood? even so with that open air filter when it rains wont it be ruined? and hey now! i've taken the hood off of my old car when i replaced the head on it.

nope hoods are required. yes it will be ruined by rain

well yeah it's running fine now. but one thing i've noticed is that my oil pressure went up abit. maybe because of how i had to connect the pcv sytem to the new intake?

There is a reason you don't see jeeps running around with hood scoops. You don't need it. Some people put vents in to help with heat, but thats about it. I wouldn't waste your time or your money. Although, I did see a cowl induction hood for an XJ on craigslist not long ago, that looked pretty BA.
