I didn't say I couldn't or wouldn't help Rich, I just know that I CAN'T weld upside down. For your safety and the safety of others you may be driving alongside, I wouldn't even trust myself to weld them without doing it properly meaning removing the axle from the truck. If time is a factor, then can I suggest that you try to unhook all the other stuff that you don't need to move the Jeep with and then pull the axle on the day the work is getting done. I would also suggest you try to find some measurements to use as a reference because when you remove the old ones you need to clean the tube up so it's smooth for the new ones to be mounted properly. There should be a website that can give you the measurements or just take some before the old brackets are ground off...Just don't want you to have issues after its back together....  :-\

Saturday morning starting at 1000.  Anybody who can help please do.  The more the marrier.  Im going to jack the vehicle up put it on stands, remove tires and brake calipers, disconnect driveshaft, shocks, and control arms, pull the axle out and start grinding brackets off.  Then weld on new brackets and reverse the process. 

If you want to help and dont know where I live pm me ill send you the address....
I live in housing by the way.

Yes, we are doing this outside.  No, he can't get the jeep in the garage.  He can't even move it down the street, so it has to be done on site.  I will help as long as I can, Rich.  I have a basketball game Saturday afternoon.

Grinders yes the more the faster this will go. 

Bring your heater if your coming ill get the propane tank out. 

Basic hand tools. 

Sorry for having to do it outside.  Dont have much choice.  The jeep doesnt fit in the garage anyway.

No stock tires to put on it? Even if you let the air out of the tires?

Ok, just being a good Nuke( I know I can be a dork, you don't have to remind me, comes with the job), but if Rich runs 33's and you put on 28's, i will only lower the Jeep 2 1/2 inches ( 33-28=5,   5/2= 2.5 )  and from tanking to Rich, he needs a lot more then 2 1/2 inches to clear a 7 foot door.  Now with 4-5 guys you could pull the roof rack off ( gain about 14-15 inches, 12.5 wide tire, + the clearance from the roof of the Jeep to the bottom of the rack) and I bet that would fit, but is it worth it????

The first step would be all of that to get it in the garage.

The ultimate stopping point to the garage is the crap in the garage.  My garage is full of stuff.  So The garage issue is really a mute point.
