Control Arm Bracket

<< < (3/10) > >>

CaptORM:
My house and not sure when.  Sometime this weekend...

Seabee_BUC:
Did you end up buying a full set of replacement brackets? Are you completely removing the axle to put them on?

Axle:
Rich, I have to say you may really want to listen to Scott on this one.  When I replaced the same brackets on my jeep, I left the axle in.  Even using Scott's welder, my welds were "amature" to say the least (because I did them  ::) ).  When I took the jeep up to Pete's for some work, he fixed them for me.  Doing it again, I would definitely remove the axle...  The welds will come out 10 fold better (and safer).  I will be happy to lend a hand.

rocket:
Is your garage big enough to do the work in?

CaptORM:
Still unsure about taking the axle out.  I will need help.  Ill make phone calls.  Shouldnt take to long though.  My garage is not big enough to put the jeep in but I cannot move the jeep very far without a control arm.  Like not even down the street.  So my garage is where it will be..  But Axle if your offering help and I got hotrod then Ill probably pull the axle weld both sides up, put the axle back under and call it a day.
