03 Rubicon lift advice...
« on: May 20, 2014, 06:08:20 PM »
I want to lift my jeep a bit but don't know what to get. Don't want super huge lift...it is an everyday driver and my wife is short...lol. secondly...I'm on limited budget so I want the most for the money and can't afford to change much else after the lift instAll (like driveshafts, etc.) Third...do all Rubicons have auto-disconnects for the sway bar links? Or was that a factory option? How can you tell?

Spacer lift like Tera flex. there are many other options. You can usually get away with 2 1/2 in lift w/o messing with drive shafts. only the JK Rubicons (07 and up) come with the Smart Bar.

X2 recommend 2"-2.5" spacer lift kit - two reasons:

1. Cost
2. Lift over 2.5"-4" will cost you more in the long run due to transfer case drive staff alignment issues.
