the guy wants $400 for a frame a title and some id tags everything else is toast i need to think about it some mor so what do you all think

the more i look at i am saying no

1. there are atleast 3 differnt jeeps put together
        a. a mb hood and passenger side
        b. a gpw grill
        c. a cj2a or 3b driver side
        d. an unknown tail gate (makes it a cj it looks like a repop)
        e. a title that says 1947 and no proof on the body to suport it

i am going to offer 200 for it and it disapers today there is not enough cj2a to call it one but the frame is solid

Just speaking from my own experience, I wouldn't do it.  Its much easier to find something with solid sheet metal and build from there then it is to fix rust.  The frame on it might even be rotted and then your looking for that too.  I would bet at the very least the body mounts are shot on the frame and will need repaired.  Those old frames always rot out where to rubber mounts sandwich the steel.  Last summer (09) I welded in floors, rockers, cab corners, and cab mounts in a 75 F250 High Boy.  Awsome project and it came out great, but looking back at it there would have been less time and money in it just to find one solid from the get go or swap the cab all together.

It would be a fun project to take on, but I don't think it would be worth it in the long run.

i am looking at another on in Missouri and this will be a parts rig a it has a solid frame the other one is the frame is toast and but the bady is good my uncle is heading to look at it and then i will decide

i need a smaller rig to wheel so the lighter trails are more of a challange so if i can make it happen it would be awesome 5.38 gears and 31's wold crawl like no other

There's a house on a back road near me that has an old flat fender with a plow rig sitting at an outbuilding returning slowly to the soil. Shame, it still looks pretty good, sheet metal wise. Something along those lines would be cool, that rig you pictured is too rough, IMHO.

i know what that is like my cousins 64 chev pick up has a $1500 passenger door cause we started with junk and made it perfect

Very cool! Because of the wheel base, you only need 30" tires to be a very capable offroader. If you have the time and cash flow.....

I decided not to buy it because he would not take my $200 offer cause all it was worth was a title and i i looking for a fully restored one and i can get them for about 4k
