Earth Day Clean up
« on: April 08, 2010, 07:12:51 PM »
JT4X4 has teamed up with the town of Ledyard and have offered to clean up the Highlands Lake Park on Sat April 24.  We will be meeting at the park at 9am sharp (located on Shewville rd).  If you have a trailer please bring it as we will be hauling brush to the Ledyard dump.  Also any tools you can bring (chain saws, axes, etc) will be useful.
From there we will then head to the church to help with cleanup/setup for their Blessing of the Bikes.  Once all the work is done it will then be time to play at BTC!
Please bring the family as taking care of the Earth is everyone responcibility.
Please pM me with any questions

I'm planning on being there. I have no trailer, but I'll rummage through the shed at the place I'm staying and see if there are any tools I can bring. If there's not I'll just do lifting and dragging to put brush in the trailers you guys are bringing.

I'm in. No trailer and very limited tools, but I'll drag stuff around.

I will have to work Saturday and Sunday but will try to get to BTC to help out when I get off.
I do have a couple of hand saws you can use.

When you all meet at Dunkin Donuts in the morning, coffee and bagels are on me.
Steve if you could pick up the tab for everyone I will give it back to you.

Don't think we will need saws; just general yard tools.

To those who's coming. Please invite a friend or two to come join us on sat. Its a little embarassing to have set this up as a club to only have 4 people show.  Lets meet at Highland Lake Park at 8:50.

Just got off the phone w Don at Ledyard Parks and he said no need for trailers. We're just going to haul brush into a pile and someone else is going to come at a later date and make mulch. See you guys at 830

Steve, the time keeps moving around. You posted earlier that we meet at Highland Park at 8:50 and Will offered to buy breakfast for meeting at DD and now you post 8:30. I'm getting confused. We need a final meeting place and time. Thanks

ok, I just got a pm from Will. I'll stop by DD on my way to the park and bring some coffee, bagels and donuts for everyone. Steve, are we meeting at 8:30 or 8:50? Either time is fine with me.
