for my next trick...

so while i'm waiting for the town to approve the permits for the new garage, i decided to get the sami together and try to get it home.  went up there today, and it turns out that the way my luck goes the only place in the barn where the roof was leaking, was into my truck.  there are no floors left.  do i abandon hope?  so i started doing some research and this is what i found.  i have the dana 44/amc20 axles already, and with this neat little kit...http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=197 i can put a solid axle in the front of my jimmy.  then it started looking like a better and better idea.  some yj 2" springs, and a spring over in the back will clear 34's.  this almost looks like a seemingly easy project.  i've done springover's in the past and schleping some mounts together to hang some leaves is going to be a fairly easy project.  if this comes out as well as i think it should, i could be looking at a serious trail rig for about $3500 in parts.  it's really making me consider it.  my axles already have 4.56's in them and the rear has a worn out limited slip.  some detroits, and some new spring perches http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=77 then some shock mounts and i really think this could work.  getting the pinion angles right will be tricky, as well as the steering angles, but i think i could actually do it.  then there's driveshaft issues.  getting the shafts made is as easy as going to fleetpride.  i've been reading up on the blazer forum that they've been swapping 231 cases into the older s10's that had a shifter on the floor and a 700r4 trans, but i haven't seen anything on the newer push buttons with the 4l60's.  i'm researching it further, hell that would be cool, a 231 with 4:1 low and a sye.  i'm thinking of 34" ltb tires to try to keep them somewhat under the wheelwells considering i'm putting the truck onto full width axles.  what does everyone think?  can i make it work??
