orders came in
« on: June 24, 2009, 06:53:17 PM »
alright so port picks came in today and im going to Hawaii  ;D but im sad abit too because im going to have to cancel on the axle swap paul... we can still work on mine and do the pinion and try to redo the brackets and the axle shafts. but right now i don't see the need for the heavy duty axle considering i don't know what it's like out in Hawaii or even if i'll be able to off road. but im not leaving until august so i'll still be in the area and posting up a storm until i leave asking stupid questions.

There is some pretty good wheeling up near the north shore.  If you plan on taking the Jeep and using it, I would recommend getting as many parts as you can now, since the shipping out to HI is $$$$$.  What Boat?

JP mag did an article about wheeling there about 3 years ago.  They actually dig the coral out of the ocean and use it as rocks along the shoreline.  So your not actually rock crawling, but coral crawling.  Search the JP archives and see if you can find the article.

You might want to check with personal property on that.  When I moved in 2005, the Navy did not want to ship my spare parts.  The moving company did anyway since they get paid by the pound.  When the personal property office came out to look at our stuff, they told me they wouldn't ship car parts, scrap steel, lumber, or any of my fluids (oil, paint, WD-40 etc...).

yeah, but selling my jeep for what i owe on it will be nearly impossible i think. a budddy made a comment about it earlier but i still owe like 4k on it.  if i could find somebody to buy it with no or minimal loss on it i'd be happy and just buy a new or nearly new jk out there. or here lol.
