So after I tore down the front axle, I found that 4 wheel parts wholsales sent me the wrong front axle shafts.  They sent me 30 spline instead of the 27 spline.  I already installed the Aussie so I will just have to a little lighter on the skinny pedal then I would like.  I have done a lot of research and with the HP D30, 4.10 gears, 35's, and TJ shafts "should" be ok.  I upgraded the U-joints to Alloy USA 760 joints which are 30% stronger then stock.  I carry spare shafts so hopefully I will be ok for a few more weeks  ;).

The Aussie went is very easy, much easier then the 8.8.  It is much easier to install when the carrier is on the bench.  The new U-bolt skids go on in the morning.

Kirk,
I just installed a lockrite in my 8.8 and it seems to bind up when i switch from forward to reverse or vise versa. the lock right and the Aussie are just about identical. I'm wondering if you had and problems when you installed the Aussie in your 8.8.

Rock- the 8.8 didn't want to disengage for the first hundred miles or so.  I would try to coast through turns and it would lock and unlock.  I has since broke in and don't even notice it on the street any more.

That's what mine is doing, I'll keep running it and hopefully it will also break in, not just Break.

 Thanks,
