tested it again today.

got bored and flogged the jimmy a little  harder today.  figured out 2 things.  the clutches in the rear diff are shot, and now i remember why AT tires suck. next upgrade it going to be new clutches, and some mt tires.  but all in all i was impressed how it did.  didn't have to use 4wd too much, but really wish i had some more aggressive tires.

used 2wd most of the way up the hill, ran over ever rock i could, lost traction once.  a small bump of the throttle and i was up.

kept driving around until i found a place to use 4lo.  going down was easy, trying to get back up proved that i need more agression lol.
the downhill

the uphill

Never got really stuck, just didn't have the balls to go any higher since the other vehicle there was a crv.

I just read in one of the magazine I get ( I think it was JP) that after something like 80K miles a factory limited slip is typically worn out even if not used very often.  If the Chevy limited slip is like the Ford, the carbon fiber clutches last longer and if you can get 2 sets and add a few extra clutches it will lock up a lot easier.

Oh well the rebuild kit is cheap, and it's really easy to put in.

Cheap and Easy is always a good thing. ;)
