Hi, My name is Steve Buttermore from Gales Ferry CT. My son (Grant) and I attended your 2021 Toy Run a couple of weeks ago & had a great time meeting some of you. Looking to do some wheeling locally as well as group wheeling around New England. Built a few Jeeps as a kid in the 80s, took a few years off & have returned. I have several Jeeps, a couple trail/beach/cruise and a few waiting in wings to be restored and built. Wheel mainly with my son and his Jeep which we had at Toy Run, 90 YJ 350 tbi Chevy, 700R4, 241, 8.8rear, D-44 ft locked w/37" Pitbulls. Look forward to joining your group.
Thanks Steve Buttermore

Hi, My name is Cody-James. I currently live in Brooklyn CT. I have been active with OSJ for the past 12 years or so. I'm looking to get more active with in the New England wheeling community. I recently attended the Toy Drive you hosted and had an absolute blast. I manage a Jeep shop so I have a bit of a Jeep hoarding problem. My main rig is a TJ with 37s long armed and JK Rubi front axle. I will hopefully be finishing up my TJ tube buggy before the spring. Looking forward to getting out to a meeting as well as wheeling with you all. Thank you - CJ

Howdy! Moving up to the Groton/New London area with the wife (Elizabeth Tomko). New-ish to the offroad world after starting Jeeping offroad back in May 2019. We go Jeeping at all manner of locations (including malls) and make YouTube videos on the side. She's got a 4 door 2018 JLUR and I have a lil 2 door 2021 JLR called Nugget! Short for Gold Nugget ;) Very much enjoy all rock crawling terrains with a special place in my heart for mud. Looking forward to meeting y'all soon!

Hey y'all!! My name is Elizabeth Tomko, I'm the daughter of another new member, Karen Tomko (BlueRubi). Thank you so much for having me!
I grew up in Fairfield County, went to school in MA, and have spent the past 5 years in NC where I picked up rock crawling! My husband (Chas, should be introducing himself soon) and I are AVID jeepers - have a JLUR, and he has a JLR. We wheel Windrock (TN), Gulches (SC), Uhwarrie (NC), and Rausch whenever we can. Chances are, if it's a weekend, we'll be looking for rocks, so hit us up!
I'm set to start a new job in Groton on Jan. 4th, so as soon as we get settled in we'll be looking to go to some events. We are also hoping to come to the Dec. 4th event with my mom! Unfortunately both my JLUR and husband's JLR are still in NC, awaiting a few repairs..... But they'll be here soon.
In our spare time we make some YouTube videos too, just for fun.  :D

Welcome Karen!!!
It will be great for you to see your impression of New England Wheeling now that you have been to Moab and down South. As I'm sure you are aware CT is full of rock and that is what we wheel on. A winch would be a great place to start, but you should also look into getting lockers and good quality Skid plates for your brand new Jeep. If you do come to the event next Saturday you will see quite the array of different style rigs, from mild to wild. Looking forward to meeting you all very soon.
