Morning everyone,

I'm Evan and I just recently picked up an 01 xj, bone stock. I've been wanting to get into off roading for years and now that i finally have the means I can't wait to get started. I'd love any input I can get on modding as I've never done it before. I've got some ideas but I want to make sure I do it right.

(Also, if any one knows of a good locking diff upgrade for the Dana 35C could you let me know?)

Welcome Evan. XJs are a great platform. There are a few on here that have or have had XJs, me being one of them. With the rocks we wheel I always advise skid plates and protection before other items. First time I wheeled my XJ I didn't have rock sliders and I crunched my rocker.

Welcome aboard!

I will second that skid plates and body armor should come first, then look for a ford 8.8 for the rear, the 35 is not worth doing anything to.

have fun & good luck!
