Title: 231 Case

I'm looking for a 231 jeep transfer case, don't care what it came out of, just need the cases.

If you know where I can get a cheap or free case let me know...

I sold one to Chuck a month or so ago. I think all he was doing was stripping the SYE out of it. I don't think he was even planning to use the Terra 2-Low kit that was already in it.

I starting pulling the case apart last week and it has a pretty major Crack in it Roger. Looks as though there is only the SYE installed in it also, I don't see the 2 low part. I think that other good 231 would be a better one for Rock.

Now that you say that it has a crack I think I vaguely remember that. I've thought about selling him mine, but I'm also thinking about a doubler set up in the future with the D300 and it would be nice to build it on the bench and still have my YJ driveable with the tcase that's in it. That's once it becomes driveable under this initial build. LOL

It's at the top of the case. It was being held together with orange high temp RTV and a bunch of hopes and dreams lol. I get home on Saturday sometime, maybe you could swing by my house one day next week on your way home and take a peek at it.

I found a case and have rebuilt it!
