Does anyone know the name and location of the place in Bozrah that sells Steel & Tubing????

Ok it is called Mid City Steel. Web page is www.midcitysteel.com. Their contact info is 860-204-0201, 877-204-1115 fax is 860-859-1550. Address is P.O. Box 155 48 Stockhouse rd Bozrah, CT 06334. They are kind of in the "back woods" of bozrah ( for being a steel place). I think there might not even be a sign infrpnt but its in a blue building. They will be able to get you anything you want.  ;D

I'm resurrecting a really old post. Rock, did you ever make a trip to Mid City Steel? Now that I have a welder I need to pick up some steel for building a cart to carry it and the gas cylinder. Figure I might as well teach myself to weld on something like that before I let it loose on the Jeep. LOL

I have not, but I'm pretty sure Tim & Tom get steel from there.

I bought form them the prices are okay. They can get anything within a couple of days or so.

They have your standard sheet metal and box tubing or channel there but dom you have to order. I found out thats easier and cheaper to buy dom from ruffstuff specialties.

rock if you need a small piece some times it is cheaper to have it shipped in

My buddy who builds cages and bumpers for extra cash drives 5 hours one way to Chicago il to buy tube he buys 3 tons of different sizes  at a time and he will save $1000 every trip compared to buying it local I just spent $40 for a 3' piece of 1x.25 Dom for making sleeves for bolts if you decide to place a big order it might be worth the drive to a larger city
