After putting 12K on my used Goodyear 30x9.50 tires, they were starting to look pretty bad. I figured with winter comming fast and not much time inport, I would go ahead and install Duece's old 31x10.50s. I installed the add a leaf this afternoon and go two of the tires mounted up. Right now it looks like a hot rod with the lift in the back and the bigger tires. I am going to tackle the front end in the morning with coil spacers and then mount up the rest of the tires. I am a little concerned with the rear pinion angle, but I will see if I get any vibs at high way speed. I had it up to about 40 mph as it sits and I didn't feel any problems.

Sweet man finally my old pro-comps are getting some use again! I dont forsee you having any pinion angle problems with that small of a lift. I never did untill I went over 3 inches. Then again who knows.

yea man im at 5.5 right now, granted i have a zj but i just started to get vibes after the lift. i still have to get the time to drop my tcase to fix it.

Lifty is done. I broke the threads off of the sway bar mount, but new ones with bushing are only $16 each side. I am going to replace both since they look pretty bad, plus I need new bushings bad. I am going to run the length shocks for now. The only time the XJ going into 4wd is in the snow so I don't see it flexing much. The Pro Comp MTs are pretty loud compaired to the crappy Goodyears, but they have a lot more tread.

yes they are loud, i remember that!

Since I broke one sway bar link, I just replaced both. The XJ hadles much better on the twisty roads out my way ;). I also went and had the tires balanced and not it rides nice and smooth up to 75mph on the speedo, which is probably 85mph with the bigger tires. I also managed to fit a 31" spare in the stock location by removing the bottom bracket and only putting 5 psi in the tire. I carry a small air compressor already so no big deal.
