Ok guys for some time now I've been experiencing popping and clicking and some. Vibes from my front end. I am still in the process of doing uca bushings but I need some guidance on the track bar heim joint and the tie rod ends. The tres gush grease and there is a lot of play in the rod itself. Next time I'm around any of you maybe you can point me in the right direction. Replace whole tre or go to poly bushings instead of replacing the boots? And I guess I just need to know what size heim joint I need

Wish nate was around cuz I'd really like a second set of eyes to look at it first hand

go poly on the uca bushings if you can get greaseable bolts to
tre replace them i would try to go with a cross over steering like that on a yj and use hiems i am doing that for my jeep on the new axles do somthing smilar to this

but instead use hiem joints on the steering but when you do it try to get the track bar parrell with the drag link
if you need new heims look at ballistic fab they got some pretty cheap hiems these are the ones i am buying for my d44

you will need 2 right hand and 2 left hand and tube adapters for the 4

this is my set up will be but i for you i would recomend running only 5/8 hiems because @3/4 would make the knuckle very thin
what track bar do you got i did not know your trac bar had a hiems i thought it was stock with rubber bushings but if it is aftermarket contact the manufacture of the trac bar and see what it cost for a new one or get the specs and find it cheaper elsewhere

I have the zj v8 steering, and I don't know what brand the track bar is but its beefy

i know about the zj v8 steering
for the track bar post up some pics of the hiem does it thread in or is it like a stock one with a hiems on the ends if it can thread out you can get the specs aka thread count diamiter and hole size and find a new one i am willing to bet it is a pretty standard size and can be found in a couple of phone calls
-
the heim joint def threads in, i just have no idea what brand the track bar is cuz i got it second hand. I'm sure its a pretty standard size

post up the thread count and diameter and hole diameter i will find you one to by
also look to see if the sides will come off it will look like it has holes for a spanner wrench so we might beable to find a rebuild kit
also you could ask the person who you bought it from what brand it was

My trackbar sucks, and i cant figure out who makes it. I asked the guy but he said it was on his rig when he bought it. It looks like it could be the re1600 but i cant tell for sure. If it is the RE1600 I have read a ton of stuff about the heim joint sucking and failing. I'm looking into ditching the no-name track bar and going with a double shear set up with poly bushings on both ends, and a new frame mount, from iron rock offroad. Or rustys? What do you guys think?

I've got an RE1600 trackbar in my TJ if you want to look at it and compare. Mine is junk too. I have a new rubber bushing to put in the axle end, but I think I need to replace the frame end also. I'll probably buy that too so I can do both ends at the same time. The bar itself is fine, it's just the ends that wear out and have to be replaced.

this was reccomended to me, but I'm hesitant to go with a heim joint again. Its def a beefy bar, way tougher and thicker than the re 1600.

Or option 2, I keep the TB i have and find a heim joint to replace it. Thinking of ruffstuff heat and cryo treated heim
