Title: Dual Batteries

I would like to hook up a second battery in my TJ.  Any recommendations on how to do it?  I had to jump my jeep last week because the scanner drained the battery enough that I wouldn't engage the solinoid. 

On a side note I think the first purchase I will be making as far a under armor is a Solid Differential Cover.

There are a few companies that make a dual battery tray for TJs. I know Smittybilt and Kilby make them and I'm sure there are others. Some of them are only for use with Optima batteries so you'll have to watch that if you don't plan on going to an Optima battery.

Or you could wire your scanner to ignition hot vice battery hot (it would only come on w/ the key in 'acc' or 'run'
