Title: More Jimmy, Some Light Wheeling.
Post by: PaulW on August 06, 2009, 12:59:10 AM
Was looking at the tires wondering how I was going to get this pile of rubber onto the truck....

Then I remembered I have a tire machine....

Did the front's first, look at the difference between "free" tires, and the ones that should be on it.

How it looks with all 4.  Looks stock.

So I flogged it on some roads....

If anyone knows this state forest, you know I stayed out of the "other" trails.  But it sure did look inviting.

I wish I had a tire mounter like that.  It kicks my butt to mount tires with my Harbor Freight manual tire mounter.

Ya manual tire mounters suck.  I even have a balancer.

heck yea!! There are a couple spots that can be a blast depending on the water content. the back entrance is do-able in a stock jimmy also, but rocky enough to keep you on your toes. Everything on the river side of the lower road is private  property tho. are all the signs still gone?

i didn't have 4wd at the time, but now that i do i'll let you know.  i came in the front right off the main road, and it was a blast.  i'll probably go back out this week after i get the truck finished, right now it's sitting on jackstands waiting for me to get under it and rip out the fuel filler neck.  i also have to tune her up and then i should be good to go.  there are a lot of signs around the roads going into every other side trail, i just stayed on the marked "blue" road and thought that should be fine.
