I found this on craigslist, and I am planning on picking a sheet up next week. He lists it as 1/4" thick, but I have never heard of Diamond Plate that thick. Even if it is only 1/8 thick it will work well for making an engine skid and a gas tank skid.

Kirk, how many different area Craiglists do you monitor? Those are pretty big pieces of diamond plate and if they are 1/4" I wouldn't mind having one. You could help me build a tcase skid, gas tank skid and we'd be able to fab that winch mount onto my bumper.

1/4" Diamond plate does exist. i've used it in the past with fairly well results.

If someone wanted to split a sheet, i might be interested.
even 3 ways possibly......
uh, bring on the jokes.

I know I wouldn't need an entire sheet so I might be game for that. I think I got a line on a TC and transmission skid plate for next week though. I sent the guy an email last week and he finally contacted me. I'm the first one and have dibs. He says they are aftermarket heavy duty skid plates so I'm hoping to go out there next Tuesday, after I get back from South Carolina this weekend. I still need a gas tank skid though and I could probably make some rear quarter protectors. My problem is that I'm relying on Kirk or somebody else to do most of the fabbing for me.

I did a search for steel plate and this one poped up as an area near by.

I could use some for a gastank skid
