'Bout dang time!!! Glad to see you on here. It would be great to have a connection in the hobby shop, again.
-
YEAH....Last time I was there, they said they could not put 33" tires on rims with their machine!!!
Ridiculous!
The club needs your help over there.

I put my 35s on at the hobby shop. Couldnt balance but mounting was a snap..

i burned out the balancer at work with 35's once, was funny when the boss went to use it next

The Hobby shop here won't hold anything over a 16" rim... I had to redneck seat the beads on 33x12.50x17's with a compressor that puts out the air pressure of a fart. Got it done though, the balancer goes up to a 20"... figure that out?
-
yeah i probably did all that cause i r the only real redneck at the shop so when is the next meetin'

First tuesday of the month. We post details here a few days in advance.

I wanted to put 33's on 15" wheel.
They wouldn't even let me try it.
-
In case the hobby shop doesn't want to mount something, I have a manual tire mounter in my shop. I can mount any size tire that you want, as long as we can get it on there. It is great for big tires since the side walls flex easy. I also have the motorcycle attachment. I don't have a way to balance tires, yet. I have been looking at a static balancer, but it is a little ways down on my "tools to buy" list.
Gearhead-So what do you need to do to the YJ to get it going? I have owned a YJ for over 14 years now (that's 2 years more then R.J. has been alive) so I may be able to help.
-
HOLY CRAP!!! everyone is on a role this week aint they?
-
Most of the tires I have put on can be Muscled onto the wheel... sidewall flex + foot/highlift/ratchet strap= mounted wheel.
Gearhead... I was talking about the Hobby Shop here in Italy, not the one on Subase... Never had the misfortune of trying to use that one. before I left the last one to use that one that I know of was Sandy... and he F#@$'d up his wheel trying to use it. He's the guy that used to run it before Rebel.
