Title: Gluten Free Girl
Post by: Kral4me on February 01, 2008, 07:17:01 PM
You guys are so awesome on all the support....I am posting this here and opening the thread so we don't have to keep hijacking threads discussing where I can get gluten free items  :P

Al, that place in Willomantic, is right down the street from where we ate last night? It's a closer drive then going into Providence for Whole Foods Store, or down to Trader Joe's....

no, where we were yesterday was Colchester.

Willimantic is out Rt32.
Still a lot closer than Providence, but I can't guarantee their selection will be as good.  I would call first, and ask some questions, everybody there seem real knowledgeable about what they sell.

You may also want to check out places like Puritan & Genesta Natural Food in Mystic

Also while in mystic, Mystic Market (2 locations)

I'm not sure what kinds of things you're specificly looking for, most health food stores have good stuff for alternative diets.

Ginger Root in Norwich is pretty good too

I think that's all I've got for now, that's "around here"

LMAO @ Gluten Free Beer Festival. Geeeeee thanks Rod  ;)

As for the stores in Mystic....man you must be a puter whiz...I did all kinds of searches with my (admissably puter tarded ass) and didn't come up with those stores. I think I will check those out first before driving all the way to either Providence and Hartford again.

As for the type of food...it literally has to say "gluten free" for me to be able to eat.  :P

Thanks guys.

not so much a computer whiz, as I already knew the NAMES of those stores ... just looked to see if they had websites, they are all places that I shop
