So I have finished blacking all of the silver on the FJ with the exception of the Toyota and FJ Cruiser emblems, which will happen soon. What does everyone think??? Was it worth my raw fingers and hours in the devil humidity of MS??? I think so... I apologize for the quality of the photos, I just finished waxing it and everything is reflecting off of it right now...LOL Looks nice though!

Thats lookin good man. Now you just need to get some baja lights on the roof rack and the front bumper. That'd be straight bitchin. then maybe a lift and some 35's.
-
Nice!!
-
The Yota is looking good. Now go find some mud to play in.
-
Are we ever going to see pics of her all dirty? It does look great, though, Scott! You have a great eye for detail.

I'm on my way out to CA as we speak and there is a great OHV park 2 hrs from the base and I intend on going there often! I'm half considering going down Miller Jeep Trail too...11 miles and it takes about 7 hrs to do. I've been UP it on a run with someone driving a bone stock TJ and they did pretty good considering the stret treads and no lift...And there is plenty of mud out there. I'll be sure to share the pics.. ;D

it looks way more bad ass blacked out. ;D

What did you use to paint the wheels man?

What did you use to paint the wheels man?
First i sanded them down just enough to remove the clearcoat finish and create a little rougher surface for the primer to adhere to. Then after two coats of primer, I hit them with 3-4 light coats of Rustoleum Satin Black. Then gave them plenty of time to dry...Pretty easy actually. I used 3 cans of primer and 4 cans of paint...
-
I like the wheels. I have been looking for you but I never see that paint scheme anywhere. It looks sharp even though it is just an FJ. ;D

I'm stationed in MS now...But out in CA for school...

I dunno Chuck I spent some time watching FJs do some of the trails we run on youtube. Not too shabby! Only problem is the IFS restricts articulation in the front, and it only comes locked in the rear. But yeah you would be surprised.

Where in MS? I was stationed at Keesler? Yes a Zoomie in a Navy town! ;D

hah, yeah, unfortunately I don't get to doing any of the desk flying, I might as well have joined the Army as far as my AFSC, (MOS) to you squids. Its basically a cross between M.P. and Infantry, mixed with base security. F-O-B-B-I-T

1st time I was a radio operator with the 416th Bomb Wing. Griffiss AFB in Rome NY. Then I went in 10 years later with the CT Air National Guard 103rd ACS in Orange as Ground Radio Repair. Did my time had my fun.
-
Did you think my name of B52BUFF came from a fanatical love of the group that brought you such timely hits as Rock Lobster and Love Shack? ??? B52 is a Bomber and BUFF is the nickname for it "Big Ugly Fat Fu**er" ;D
-
Yeah i dunno, guess I was leaning more towards a fanatical love, I'm with the 103rd SFS up at Bradley.
-
What kind of aircraft do you guys support up there now? I know some bonehead go rid of the A-10's. Now it is my understanding that unit is nothing more than a glorified post office.

I'll PM you we are at risk of hijacking this thread...
