On my 06 TJ I had used regular flat washers when installing the new lower control arms but I found it didn't take but a few miles for them to start loosening up, so I traded them out for (split) lock washers thinking that would solve the problem but I just inspected the arms to see how things are holding up and found them to be loose. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Put some lock-tite on bolt and Stake (us a punch to deform the metal) the nut in place. If the nut is biting into the bolt it won't come loose. If you ever need to take it off you will be able to. It will just take more force. OR drill through the bolt and use a castle nut. OR a very small tack weld.

They are supposed to be lock nuts on there.

Thank you for the help. I should have THAT problem corrected by the next meeting.
