Hey guys, I'm planning on some a few upgrades this winter on my CJ5 to make it more offroad capable. Wondering if anyone has had any experience doing any of the following upgrades:
*Power Steering Conversion
*Upgrade to disk brakes in the front
*Convert to YJ springs
For the disk brake upgrade I will probably just look for a new cj5 axel with disk brakes. Best case scenario would be finding a rotted out CJ5 with disk brakes and power steering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't bought anything without power steering or disc brake front so I don't have anything for you there. I did convert a CJ7 to YJ springs probably 12 years ago and it's not a bad job at all. Lots of information out there on it.

Yea, the 7s and later model 5s are a pretty easy swap but the '72 need more modification. I have done some research on it but was hoping someone had done it before and could help me out.
