Went to Talcott Mountain to go hiking up to the Hublin tower. It has one of the most GORGEOUS views around. The tower itself has some great architecture and reminds me of Gilletts Castle. I guess this was the Hublins summer home and they had a mansion in West Hartford also. If anyone's wanting to take the hike here's the link. http://www.ct.gov/dEP/cwp/view.asp?A=2716&Q=325272
This was the view from the grounds of the tower.

The tower itself. You can walk all the way up to the top when it's open.

The hike itself isn't bad it's about 1.25 miles and not too rocky. It's a fairly steep ascent for the 1st 1/2 mile or so the flattens out along the ridge. Great for the family, but very stroller un-friendly.
