The next monthly meeting will be 3 June at 6pm (1800 for military types) at Axel's place. PM him for address/directions.
Attending a meeting is one of the reqirments to become a full member. Besides, it will be fun! There will be food; Justin is making some pulled pork!! PM him for what you can bring (side dishes, drinks, etc). Our meetings are not all about business (though a fair amount gets accomplished). We hang out, tell stories, re-tell the "You should've seen my rig on that rock!" and ". . .thats how i got THAT dent!" stories, you will meet some cool people who share your love for driving slow, and just have a good time all around!

Man... It's going to be packed! I don't think we have had this many people show up for a meeting that I know of. This is great! Hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can have it in the back yard. If not, I have AC!

Cannon Ball is in reference to the swimming pool. Yes next Meeting My house. We could even shift it to a Saturday and make a day of it. The motion is on the floor. I will be going out of town on the 11th. So if a Saturday is the way we go it would have to be the 5th. But Tuesdays are good also....

Just out of curiosity, why dont we have our meetings at puplic places: ie pizza joints, Ice cream places etc. It seems that it wouldnt put a burden on any one person and it would look good publicly for the group to pull up in our rigs and be able to talk buisness in an establishment.

on the flip side doing meetings at a restraunt or bar can be very detrimental to folks who have limited funds or children

and the noise level of the place would have to be considered too

This has been brought up before, about meeting at a bar or restraunt. The same conclusion as mallcrawl stated was what we came up with. I think Rocket's idea of leaving the option open to the host and removing any pressure is the best solution.

We have all gotten together (usually after a Cruise Day), and taken the whole club to places like "The Spot" to get together and have fun. They put together mass tables for us, or the patio.
It is usually during a time when people can chose to go, or bow out gracefully, without the pressure of HAVING to go, to make a meeting.
The public places are just funner to go and hang out at, just for the hell of it...the meetings (because of people's funds or chasing o' the children), have made it easier at houses....
I can't imagine that we wouldn't have the same options on the CarQuest Cruise Day, or even down at Ocean Beach...everyone just getting together to hang out :)
And Kev - I think everyone was ok with moving the meeting to a Saturday for the access to the pool party for the "meeting" BBQ lol! So are you looking at July 5th?!

sorry i couldn't make it everyone...my boat pulled in a few days early and i've been on shift work since that afternoon..(noon to midnight)....haven't had a whole lot of time to do anything....hopefully i'll be able to catch up with you guys and go wheelin' before i go on deployment
