any one else Nuclear trained here think we're fawked with the whole reactor plant on the merge of a meltdown situation over in raw fish land?

no i don't think the fall out will travel to illinios so i am good

it really depends if they can keep the reactor covered and cool from what i here the ones that are leaking were use for storing spent fuel and were shut down

I heard today at work that the Regan was getting readings of 62,000 microcuries on the flight deck (that's a lot).  Basic math, that's about 10-13 Rem/hour General Area Radiation. Rumor has it the whole ship will need to be decontaminated. There is also a stop on all personel who had orders to Japan by the CNO. 

As far as we are concerned, the "fallout" should not make it over here. Most of it should decay away before it has the chance to travel this far (California) Over in CT you guys should be more than Ok. Japan isn't going to fare so well. But we'll be ok.
